Honda Generator

I have an old Honda EX650 Generator that won't start. I need carb info.?

It has spark and gas. Above the float in the carb is a jet that seems to be plugged. There's a tiny hole in one end and the other end seems to be plugged or closed. This "jet" threads in perpedicular to where I would expect the main jet to be and just under it. The generator will fire with starting fluid, gas does enter the float bowl, I've put new fuel in it, the spark is yelowish orange. Should it be blue?

Three things for a fire to burn. Fuel, oxygen, and heat.

Blue spark would be hotter, but yellow should work.

Is there a good supply of air to the carburetor?

From my experience, if the carburetor is clean and fuel flowing properly you should not have problems. Soak the carburetor in a bowl of cleaner to get rid of any gummed up gasoline and varnish.
